District 3 – People Gathering Together
Points of Prayer
- District 3 is known for its abundance of restaurants and drink shops, pray that the Gospel would spread through the many social interactions in these places of business.
- Many families live and work in this district, ask God to make Himself known and many would find salvation in Jesus Christ alone.
- Pray for the students of the Open University and the Economics University as well as other schools in this district.
- Pray for the people trapped by the spiritual strongholds represented by Chùa Pháp Hoa, Chùa Vĩnh Nghiêm, Chùa Vĩnh Phước, Chùa Xá Lợi, and Đình Ông Súng.
Among the most vibrant districts in Saigon, District 3 teems with a wide range of commerce: trading, business, and service, that you cannot tell when you leave District 1 and head into District 3.
A variety of popular tourist attractions are located in this district, especially buildings and architecture dating back to the French colonial time, museums, pagodas, and shopping malls.
The beauty of the district is found in the convergence between the local and the international culture with tree-lined streets and lots of traffic.
At night many young Saigonese gather together, enjoying Vietnamese street foods and 24/7 coffee shops along the canals.
This district can be a gathering place and prayers are needed for bodies of Christ to gather and spread throughout the city for Jesus to be made known.
Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to speak about His mysterious plan concerning Christ. That is why I am here in chains. Pray that I will proclaim this message as clearly as I should.
