Tan Phu District – People Not Forgotten
Points of Prayer
- A patchwork of parks, factories, businesses, and worker housing spreads randomly through Tan Phu – who will share the Gospel with them? Who will disciple them to pass on what they have learned to reliable men who will in turn share with others? Pray for laborers.
- Pray for the students of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Food Industry to be reached with the Gospel and a church to be started among them.
- Pray for the people trapped by the spiritual strongholds represented by Chùa Pháp Giới, Tu Viện Huệ Quang, Chùa Pháp Vân, Vệ Quốc Miểu.
Tan Phu District runs alongside Tan Binh District and in years past was actually a part of Tan Binh. Located away from the city center, this district is not as bustling as others and because of that daily life is seemingly more local.
Street food, small farmers markets, sidewalk coffee and drinks give the district a slower and less hurrying environment, where customers are there to make conversations with one another.
Along the street, in businesses and homes, small altars with containers for incense and a fruit offering for prayers lifted to provide protection or success are found. This district is in need of our prayers.
And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.
