Cu Chi District – People with a History
Points of Prayer
- This area is perhaps best known for the intense fighting and heavy bombing that happened here during previous wars; painful memories of loss remain. Pray that the people of Cu Chi would be able to see God’s love for them and that they respond in faith in Jesus Christ.
- Pray for laborers to rise up from among the people of this district to share the Gospel with their family, friends and co-workers resulting in new churches.
- Pray for the people trapped by the spiritual strongholds represented by Giáo xứ Bắc Hà among other spiritual sites in the district.
Away from the busy Ho Chi Minh City center, in the northwest area of the city, Cu Chi District is located. As a suburb and furthest north, the feel of small community, nature and even rice paddies are positioned. Compared to the urban city, Cu Chi District seems 20 years or more back in development.
Cement houses and shops are congregated and then spaced out throughout the district.
Many tourists come to visit the area because of the famous Cu Chi tunnels from war-time eras. However, this district needs God to be made known for His victory of salvation for the whole world instead of history and sadness of wars past. Please pray for the people living in Cu Chi District to know Jesus and not just unhappy memories from time before.
The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
