The images will be different for me than you, different from one generation to the next, one person to the next. Perhaps when you think of Vietnam it is of rice paddies or white sand beaches. Maybe when you think of Vietnam it is with strong memories of war and loss. Or maybe your thoughts run along the lines of getting a nice manicure. A foodie may think of pho, or bun thit nuong, or a banh mi sandwich. For many, thoughts will gravitate first to a favorite Hollywood rendering. Regardless of what we might think of when thinking of Vietnam – – God’s thoughts are different.
When God thought of Vietnam, He sent His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross. When God thinks of the people of Vietnam, His thoughts are of love everlasting. When God thinks of the minorities living in Vietnam, He thinks of restoration and salvation. When God thinks of the millions in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi, He thinks of their need to come into His family to find hope and peace.borers
When God thought of the peoples of Vietnam, He took action. He sent His Son.
When you think of the peoples of Vietnam – will you take action as well?
Join us in praying for God to send laborers into the harvest field of Vietnam. Pray about being one of those laborers yourself through a short term or long term trip to Vietnam. Take action by sharing Christ with the Vietnamese people that live around you.
