HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM (HOE-chee-men) – It’s called a “golden population” because of the potential for dramatic advance in economic development. That’s the situation currently in Vietnam, where more than half the population is under the age of 30 and there are more than two people of working age for every dependent (children and the elderly). This golden population, which is expected to last for roughly 30 more years, causes many to have high expectations for economic growth and financial success. But what about Vietnam’s spiritual development? With such a young population, it is imperative that believers do all that they can to reach them with the Good News of Jesus Christ. God is leading believers to focus on reaching young professionals in the city. Please pray for many opportunities to connect with this group, and ask God to prepare hearts to receive the Gospel. Pray for at least two new locations where the Gospel will be shared, asking that God will raise up new believers who will, in turn, be obedient disciples, sharing God’s salvation with many more of their co-workers, family and friends.
