HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM (HOE-chee-men) – This city is a melting pot of the peoples from throughout Vietnam. There are more than 70 distinct ethnic minority groups within the country, with many of them totally unreached with the gospel. Most are from rural areas, where life is very difficult, so some are moving out of those areas and making their way to this city because of its draw as the primary economic hub in the country. They come looking for work and a better life. Would you pray that they will encounter Jesus Christ in this city? Pray for God’s leading to open doors for believers to meet minority group members, as they often try to assimilate so as not to be singled out. Pray for a Bible study group comprised of one such minority group that meets regularly. Pray for these new believers to continue to grow in Christ and to grow in boldness in sharing the gospel with others from their minority group. Those with a heart for the peoples of Ho Chi Minh City ask: “Please pray with us, especially for our 31 Days of Prayer for the peoples of Vietnam this May 2015. Follow the link or email us to register your commitment to pray.”
