Vinh* has been invited to a party this week where he will hear the story of Jesus. The Mid-Autumn Festival, celebrated in Viet Nam on September 15, is a traditional harvest festival with deep meaning to the people. It has some elements of thanksgiving to it, but historically, much of the focus has been on gifts to children and family gatherings to make up for little time together during the busy work of the harvest. In this urban environment with many young adults who have moved here from elsewhere, Mid-Autumn can be a time of longing for home and family. Please pray for many opportunities during this week to share the gospel in the city. Pray for Vinh and others like him who will hear the story of Jesus, asking that they will have hearts prepared to receive God’s gift of salvation. Pray that many will believe in the name of Jesus and come home to be a member of God’s family. (*name changed)
