| This update from Laura Smith and Steve’s passing. Please be in prayer for the family. PRAYER UPDATE: Beloved Brothers and Sisters, Thank you for the tremendous outpouring of love, support, and prayers. In the early hours of this morning as David and I slept near Steve, he quietly, peacefully departed his earthly, natural, perishable, corruptible “tent.” He is now with Jesus, the Firstborn, the Author and Finisher of our faith. And Steve is rejoicing! One prayer request that you joined with us in last week was that Jesus Himself would minister to Steve, and that Steve would not be in any distress. These past few weeks have been as easy as they could possibly have been, and surprisingly joyful. Steve had very little pain or discomfort with very little medication, and enjoyed many happy hours surrounded by family and dear friends. A memorial service will be held this Saturday, March 16th at 1:00 PM at WoodsEdge Community Church located at 25333 Gosling Rd, Spring, TX 77389. The service will also be live-streamed for those abroad who would like to take part (more info at a later time). I will probably have more to share later, but for now I just wanted to update you, hopefully before you got it from the web. God has been and continues to be so good to us. And God wins, not cancer.
