Dong* and his friends just moved to the city from a rural area a few hours away. Everything is new, with a mixture of excitement and anxiousness. They’re looking for new friends and trying new things. They’re open to new ideas as they start this new chapter in their young lives. One of the new friends Dong has made in the city is a believer. Together with several other believers, this month and the next, they are actively looking for those newly arriving in the city like Dong. They are building friendships with these new arrivals, having get-togethers, and sharing the gospel. Pray for Dong to participate in the events planned and to hear the gospel clearly. Pray for many other new arrivals to the city to connect with these believers and be drawn to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Ask that many in this group will be interested in studying the Bible together. May they become committed followers, obedient disciples, and form the base for new churches to be started in their neighborhoods. Pray that the work during these couple of months will establish a firm foundation or build a momentum in these neighborhoods from which the multiplication of disciples and churches throughout the city will occur.
