In a small 20 x 30-foot room, new Believers and non-Believers meet. All are factory workers that have come to the city from other parts of the country. On Saturday evenings as many as 20 will gather. Sitting on the floor in the dimly lit room, some share copies of the Bible while others have the Bible on their phone. All are studying God’s Word.
The group is learning what it means to be a disciple of Jesus and the responsibility to share what they are learning with others: their family, friends, and co-workers. They are becoming church, the Body of Christ in their neighborhood. In a city of 10 million people, the need to be obedient and teach others is urgent.
Pray that these young workers and others like them follow through with commitments to share–so the Gospel will spread. Pray that this newly formed church will become a lighthouse not only for their neighborhood but also the handful of factories represented where the members work. Pray that this church among factory workers will multiply into many more churches which would spread through the industrial park areas of our city.
โGo, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.โ Matthew 28:19-20 #pray4vietnam
