Day Nine – In every neighborhood and district within Ho Chi Minh City, there are different kinds of spiritual places that do not worship the One True God: temples, pagodas, dinhs, mieus, and prayer rooms. All idols, statues and gods are hand-made—meaning they crack, chip, break and perhaps are discarded when a new one is needed. Our God is jealous for the love that He has for the whole world. Pray for Vietnamese going to these spiritual places to see how they lack, how their prayers are not answered, how empty they are left and not filled because they are tricked by what is counterfeit. Ask the Creator God to be high and lifted-up. Ask Him for this time in history for Vietnamese to accept God as Lord Almighty.
False gods and temples distract the people of finding the One True God. Pray for the people of Ho Chi Minh City to look for something real and true, the Sovereign God of all. Ask God to release the captives and for them to humble themselves and find Him. Pray for God to be close to all those searching.
“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And He is not served by human hands, as if He needed anything. Rather, He Himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man He made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and He marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from any one of us.” Acts 17: 24-27
