As the most important holiday in Vietnam, friends, families, and co-workers come bearing gifts to one another to wish the lunar new year in with great happiness. The lunar new year in Vietnamese is called Tết (shortened a bit). Store shelves are lined with Tết baskets pre-made up to purchase. Baskets can be as small as this or filled several feet high.
Pray for believers to share with families and friends the free gift of God’s salvation this holiday. Pray for believers to be bold and courageous with words, as they go against religious traditions and the idea of luck for the year. Pray for unbelieving Vietnamese to have open hearts and for barriers to be overcome.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.” Ephesians 2:8
