Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still and know that I am God” and we might think from this verse, oh, God wants us to relax and know that He has it. Instead of interpreting ‘be still’ as a gentle suggestion, other translations are more specific for us to ‘stop fighting,’ which is directed towards the enemies of the people of God. So, think more of the verse as, ‘snap out of it,’ acknowledge who your God is—be in awe!
Verse one of chapter 46 begins, “God is our refuge and strength” —written for God’s people in times of trouble.
Wherever you are, ‘snap out of it,’ call out to God and know He is your refuge and strength.
Pray for the Vietnamese to acknowledge God and become His people. Ask God to encourage His followers in Vietnam and for them to take refuge and strength in Him alone. Praise God.
