Tam sets up on the shaded side of the sidewalk in the early morning. He received a small cart of pineapples from the countryside by boat from his cousin who lives along the Mekong River. He uses his cutting tool to make swirl cuts into the pineapple for people to buy and take home. It’s fascinating to watch the first few times you see him work.
Paul writes to the Romans don’t just follow the customs of what you see around you, but follow God’s ways.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing, and perfect will.” Romans 12:2
Ask God to help Vietnamese see beyond traditions and customs and seek after His ways.
