Thoughts of heading to hometowns in the countryside are already on the minds of Vietnamese in the city to visit and celebrate the lunar new year with family.
In a city of 10 million plus people, the familiar and slow pace of hometown is a comfort many Vietnamese enjoy. Urban life holds Vietnamese for jobs and financial resources, and as the Saigon begins to empty in the next days and weeks there are opportunities for believers to share their faith with family and friends.
“Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust Him.” Psalms 91:1-2
Pray for Vietnamese believers to have safe travel to their homes and opportunities to share God’s word, their faith, and love family in their actions.
