God speaks to us in a gentle whisper because He is close to us. He doesn’t need to speak any louder because He is right there beside us. The negative thoughts that seem so loud are because the enemy is shouting so that we will hear them.
We listen best to God’s voice when we quiet the noise and chatter of shouting in our heads.
As He did with Elijah in 1 Kings 19:11-12 through a gentle whisper.
“Then He said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the Lord’s presence.” At that moment, the Lord passed by. A great and mighty wind was tearing at the mountains and was shattering cliffs before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind, there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake, there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire, there was a voice, a soft whisper.”
Fill your mind with good thoughts so that you will hear God’s voice clearly. Never entertain the lies of the enemy. Give Him your attention by reading His word. Vietnamese have access to the Bible, but good translations are not widely available.
Please pray for a Bible project to get modern and accurate translations into the hands of Vietnamese. Unlock the powers of God through prayer to bring this project to completion, as bumps and roadblocks are keeping this from being achieved.
