   This is a smaller Buddhist temple run by lady monks. We spoke with one of the lady monks while we visited. We were moved by the devotion of these lady monks who told us that their life has been the same working at this temple for many years. They rise at 3:00 AM each day to read from their Buddhist scriptures. We know that such devotion and acts are common among Buddhist who believe in salvation or atonement through works. Our salvation is through grace and not works and yet still causes us to wonder if our response to such grace from our God shouldn’t be more devotion?

   We prayed at this temple that God would change the monks from the inside out – revealing Himself to them. Please pray with us that the lady monks of this temple and those from the neighborhood who come there would be shown the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The lady monks told us that they stop at lunch every day to pray for people all over the world to find peace in Buddha. Our response is to pray for them to know the true peace that can only come through Jesus – peace that is not the same as what the world gives.
