   We talked to some female monks serving at this old Buddhist temple. They told us about the temple and how people come here to pray at the idols and also to burn incense for their ancestors. I was particularly moved by the shaved heads of the female monks, the dedication that they have. We are not saved by our works, but I want my love for God to show itself in even greater dedication in my own life. Would I so willingly shave my head for God?

   I prayed for God to send workers to this neighborhood – people who will carry the Gospel and share it with everyone around. I prayed for the female monks that God would speak to their hearts and break down any barriers they might have to come to Him. I prayed that in this neighborhood of District 8 that there would be a new church started here that will tell everyone about Jesus.
