This was a large Chinese temple area with two buildings separated by a courtyard. It has many statues of Buddha and Taoist idols. We spoke with an older lady there who said she spends most of her time at the temple taking care of it and had been coming there for many years. She told us that in the one section people will come to pray to their ancestors and to the spirit of Ho Chi Minh. In the other section she said they come and pray and burn incense to Buddha and different spirits.
I prayed for the older lady at this temple. She seemed so sweet and nice to us, even opening up the temple for us to visit when it was closed. I thought of how many years she has been coming here and still she doesn’t have the hope found in God. I prayed that somehow, some way that she might here of salvation in Jesus.
God please send Your workers to this neighborhood. Please send those who would share a Gospel witness to the people that come to this temple. God please send Your servants to share about the hope and salvation found in Jesus Christ so that they will no longer walk in darkness.
