   We spoke with a monk at this temple which has a very large amount of garden and space. He told us that the monks there and many people come to pray on a daily basis. He also said that there were three special holidays a year when many more people would come and pray. I could not count all of the idols that are found throughout these temple grounds. The temple itself is more than 100 years old. While we were there we also spoke with a young girl, a child who had come there. She was so cute and captured our hearts though we never saw any family with her.

   I prayed that the people at this temple would know Jesus. I prayed for the little girl to have the opportunity to respond to the Gospel. I prayed that the blood of Jesus would cover this place in power bringing His salvation.

   There were many children in the courtyard of this temple when we visited and I tried to watch each one and pray for them. Please pray for the children that come here. Pray that they would learn of Jesus. Wouldn’t it be great for God to send someone to start a church in this neighborhood where families could come to know of Christ! Please God send a person or many people, let them be Vietnamese or a foreigner but let them share the Gospel. Start a church in this neighborhood that would reach families so that these children could learn the real joy found in our Father God!

   There were so many children here coming to learn about Buddhism. Who will teach them about God? Who will share the words of life from Scripture with the children of this neighborhood? Who will bring the message of salvation to them?

   But how can they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe without hearing about Him? And how can they hear without a preacher? And how can they preach unless they are sent?

   We prayed for the kids, that they would see the truth.

   I agree in prayer with JDER–asking God to send someone to start a church here and to prepare the hearts of the children and their families to hear the gospel. Please, God, send laborers into this harvest. As unbelievers pray in this temple, may their thoughts turn to Jesus and may they seek Him. Please give these people the spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the true knowledge of Him. Please raise up an evangelizing, reproducing church with a heart for children and a powerful, effective children’s ministry. Please let this area be a center for revival and new life in HCMC.
