As we walked along this street it was amazing to see how many shops were selling idols. And even more to see the people coming to the shops and making purchases. They sell idols carved or cast in ceramic. Large idols and small idols and pictures of gods to worship or bowls to put fruit in for sacrifices. We talked briefly with a man who owned one of the shops selling idols. He is Buddhist and believes that he will receive extra blessings in life or in his next life because he helps people by selling them idols.
I prayed that God would open their eyes. I prayed that God would send His evangelists to help these people see their need for repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone.
They need to see that what they worship is man made. How can it help them? I prayed that the people would realize that their idols won’t help them at all, only Jesus will.
