   A Tịnh Thất is a specific type of Buddhist temple where bones, ashes and relics are kept. Though this is a small neighborhood temple, there are many urns there filled with the ashes of deceased people who are worshipped. Other idols are present in the buildings and courtyard as well. This temple is just across the street from a university and the person we spoke with told us that students would come here and pray before a test.

   As with every location where we go with urns and ancestor worship, it breaks our heart to think of the many who have died without Christ and their families or others who continue down the same path. We prayed that people would know the truth of the Gospel. We prayed that the students from the university would know that there is a God, and He is a jealous God and wants our worship. Please pray that someone would share the Gospel in this neighborhood and those at the university across the street.

   Then Jesus spoke to them again: “I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows Me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

   Father, there is so much darkness in the temples. Please let your light shine on the people entering the temples and areas surrounding the temples. Send people to share the Truth.
