A recent article from Vietnam News centered on the rise of online dating and other new matchmaking type services within Vietnam. An inevitable trend perhaps, given the modernization of society in Vietnam, but nevertheless quite a change from their traditional cultural foundations.
According to the article, Nguyet Anh of one such matchmaking service (Ericamoon) highlighted the great potential of these services. Ms. Anh states, “I believe an increasingly number of young people will continue needing these services because, as we know, many of them do feel lonelier in a busier society.”
Pray with us that the peoples of Vietnam will find the perfect fulfillment of their relationship needs through Jesus Christ. Pray that even in their ‘busier society’ they will not be lonely but rather find peace and joy, blessing and salvation.
