Have you met your Vietnamese neighbor? Chances are good you have one. According to Pew Research there are close to 2.2 million Vietnamese currently living in the United States. While the largest concentrations of Vietnamese peoples in the U.S. are located on the West Coast and Texas, there are significant populations spread throughout the country.

According to a recent report from the Institute of International Education, Vietnamese students are the fifth largest group of international students in the U.S. and the second largest group within community colleges. The percentage of Vietnamese students within the overall international student population in the U.S. has been increasing over the last few years.
