The city of Phan Rang was recently combined with a larger area to now be known as Phan Rang-Thap Cham (or Phan Rang-Cham Towers). At the edge of Phan Rang sits a crescent-shaped beach with white sand and a view of the mountains. In the late afternoons, locals flock to the ocean for family time and a refreshing break from the heat. This afternoon I headed out to the beach to experience a bit of what the locals experience in relaxing here. This is not an overly ‘touristy’ area and it lacks the developments that often draw more foreigners. As such, this tends to be much more of a local hangout.
