We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, concerning those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve like the rest, who have no hope. 1 Thessalonians 4:13
In Rachel’s travels this week she returned to Ho Chi Minh City for a few days. Out and about to capture life here, she came face to face with death. Seeing a funeral procession and following along she caught a glimpse of the loss of those without Christ in the city. There is so much lostness in Ho Chi Minh City and your prayers are definitely needed. See the Journey Prayers below and also check out our 10/10 Day of Prayer for Ho Chi Minh City post.
Journey Prayers – Week 6
Praying for the people of Ho Chi Minh City
- Pray for the family represented by the funeral seen in Rachel’s pictures this week. Pray that from their loss they would be moved to ask questions and seek out God.
- Pray for Believers in Ho Chi Minh City to find ways to speak about death with their family and friends. To speak of this is almost taboo in the Vietnamese culture but pray that Believers would have open doors to share why they have hope in Jesus Christ and do not fear death.
- Pray that God would turn the numbers around in Ho Chi Minh City. Based on the number of lost people in the city and how many people die each day on average, you can arrive at the statistic that every 10 minutes of every day a lost person dies and goes to hell in Ho Chi Minh City. Pray that God will call out laborers to this city to broadly share the Gospel and turn those numbers around.
