When I first arrived in Da Nang, I was surprised. I had associated it with being an American base during the Vietnam War. Forty years later, however, Da Nang is no longer a small beach town known for its military base. These days, it’s a sprawling city, famous for it’s modern skyline, beautiful river walks and beaches, and a dragon bridge that breathes fire on the weekends. Da Nang is the fastest growing urban area in Viet Nam but in the midst of all of this growth and change there is a great need for the Gospel.
