Viet Nam has steadily been re-opening after just over 3 weeks of a more intense social distancing time. To date, Viet Nam has experienced no deaths from Covid-19 and less than 300 total infections. Barber shops, restaurants and coffee shops have re-opened. Most schools have re-opened with students returning to campuses so as to finish out their semester.
The government has also been working to bring back home students and other Vietnamese travelers who have remained abroad up to this point. While foreign tourists are not returning (visas are not being issued) a program of promoting domestic tourism is underway.
Nice article here from CNN Travel as the writer shares from their experience watching the country re-open from Hanoi. Bonus with a couple of videos highlighting food dishes and egg coffee popular in the capital city.
