Tropical storms, severe flooding and landslides have hit the Central Viet Nam region hard since early October. Another tropical storm is predicted to hit the region this coming weekend. Current tracking from news sites list over 100 people have died in recent days, over 90,000 have been evacuated with over 130,000 homes flooded.
The areas most severely hit have been the provinces of Thua Thien-Hue, Quang Tri and Quang Nam as well as the ancient capital of Hue.
