God’s heart is for all people to be reached with His love and grace. His commandment is that we go to all creation to preach this Good News of salvation found through Jesus Christ. Please pray for the peoples of Vietnam to be reached with this message.
The majority population in the country of Vietnam are known as the Kinh (or sometimes Viet) people, and they comprise approximately 86% of the total population of the country of Vietnam. The remaining 53 people groups comprise the other 14%.
Outside of the country of Vietnam itself are also sizeable populations of “Overseas Vietnamese”. These are referred to as Viet Kieu in Vietnamese or Nguoi Viet Hai Ngoai. The largest population of Overseas Vietnamese resides in the United States with approximately 1.7 million. The next largest population outside the country of Vietnam resides in Cambodia with approximately 600,000.
