Have you found the small gate? The narrow road? How blessed you are, as Jesus says, “The gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.” Matthew 7:14 bit.ly/3wplih1 1 week ago

Starting from around 170 Bach Dang and moving west along this street you will find a number of different shops that sell ceramic idols, spiritual decorations or items and wooden altars for idol and ancestor worship.
We visited several shops and spoke with a few of the owners or shopkeepers. Idols and other spiritual decoration might range anywhere from about USD $5.00 to USD $400.00 for items placed in the home. One of the shopkeepers told us we shouldn’t ask so many questions as these were religious items. Others seemed eager to show us pieces. When we asked why someone would purchase a new idol they told us that some times people think they are not getting enough benefit from an idol, or it is old and will be thrown in the trash and then they purchase a new one.
It made me sad to see people wasting money on things that really don’t have any power. We prayed for the owners and the shopkeepers and the people that visit the shops that they might know the joy of salvation through Jesus Christ. We prayed that people would realize that the idols are false and find out the truth.

…If my people who are called by My name humble themselves, pray and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. My eyes will now be open and My ears attentive to prayer from this place. II Chronicles 7:14-15
Lord, I pray that the people of Vietnam will hear about you, seek your face, turn from the idols they are worshiping and that you will be attentive to their prayers. God hear our prayers as we intercede on their behalf and pray that the people in HCMC will turn from idols and turn to the one true God. Speak to their hearts Lord and draw them to you.

From Dick Eastman’s book “A Watchman’s Guide for Praying God’s Promises”: “I pray, Father, for those who are lost in the darkness of other faiths and belief systems. Foster within them a dissatisfaction that would lead them to seek You. Reveal yourself to them in your grace and make the gospel message clear to their hearts so that they might desire your everlasting life. Please open the eyes of those who worship idols to see the emptiness and lifelessness of that which they serve. Show yourself as the living God who is he divine Father of the nations…[May they] be attracted to your mercy ad grace and [put their faith in Jesus]”
