When we visited this ancestor hall we saw again how the people in this city seem to have such a fear and awe of the spiritual forces around them. It seems that they know that there are spirits all around them and that they believe those spirits are of those who have died in their past. Since Nghi Xuan was a famous and powerful person in life, they believe him to be powerful as a spirit in death – and so they look for his help or they worship him and sacrifice to him to avoid any possible negative consequences that might come from him.
My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus Christ and His righteousness. Heavenly Father we plead that the people that come to this ancestor hall would base their hope on nothing less than Jesus. Please open their eyes to see the goodness and joy of salvation. God please bring laborers from among the Vietnamese people into this neighborhood who would draw the people to You. We pray that those coming to this hall would be convicted of Your Holy Spirit to seek You and believe.
